Avis
Avis Wukasch is a Texas real estate broker, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She is the broker for Keller Williams Realty in Round Rock and Georgetown, Texas. She has been in this role since April 2001. Avis served as Governor’s appointee as Chairman for the Texas Real Estate Commission from 2011 to May of 2019, prior to that she served as Vice Chairman of the Commission for 2 years and served one year as a Commissioner. She also served the Texas Real Estate Commission on the Broker Lawyer Committee from 2001 to 2005 and was Chairman of the Board for the Texas Association of REALTORS in 2007.
Committed to empowering Texas REALTORS across the state, Avis has served on and chaired various local Realtor Association, the National Association of REALTORS and Texas Association of REALTORS committees, task forces and management teams throughout her long career. Avis has been on the team developing TREC non-elective courses for many years and teaches the Train the Trainer courses sponsored by The Real Estate Center at TAMU.
A native Texan, Avis earned a B.S. in political science from the University of Texas - Austin. Her legacy is steeped in the real estate industry. Her father’s more than 50-year career as a broker spurred Avis and her siblings to enter the business. She also married a real estate broker. Her mission is to honor God and her parents by making a difference in the lives of others and being the best grandmother to four “off the chart” little people.
Kerri
Kerri Lewis is a Texas real estate and administrative law attorney and published author. She served as General Counsel for the Texas Real Estate Commission from 2013-2019. Kerri first joined TREC as Director of Standards & Enforcement Services in 2009 and was Deputy General Counsel from 2012-2013.
Kerri’s career spans over 30 years and includes legal and management experience in both public service and private sector. She has represented real estate developers, license holders, and individual parties, as well as small businesses, financial institutions, and government agencies in Austin, Texas and Washington, D.C. Kerri is an experienced mediator, has also been on the team developing TREC non-elective courses for many years and teaches the Train the Trainer courses sponsored by The Real Estate Center at TAMU. Kerri also writes legal articles for The Real Estate Center’s quarterly magazine, TG.
Kerri has a BS in Business Management from Rice University and graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. She lives on a small ranch with her husband and dog. She relishes the quiet beauty of her pastoral setting but appreciates lively visits from her grown children. Kerri enjoys travelling, reading, gardening, canning and cooking with all the fresh vegetables she grows. She published her debut suspense novel, Storm Surge, in 2019 and is currently working on her next novel.
